Lending a hand to show KINDNESS

Today we watched a short video where we saw how when we show kindness to each other we can colour our world. We discussed as a class how we have brought kindness to our lives and then we wrote a story to share our experiences. We added an illustration to a hand to show how we are lending a hand to show KINDNESS.

  1. Wow Ruma Kotoku look at all those kind hands. I can"t wait to come into class and read the fantastic stories that you have added to your hands. They look fantastic. From Sasha (Islas Mum)

  2. Hi Ruma Kotuku,

My name is Agnes. I’m a student in Harris Class (Room 1), your Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu blogging buddy class.

Wow, I would like to colour in a hand too, they are colourful.

I like how you all watched a video about how to show kindness. When I'm kind to others at school and my friends are too, it makes me feel good and want to be at school everyday. I like the way you wrote how kindness made you feel. I like Maddi's story because Harmony and Hayley looked after Maddi when she fell down.

What was the short video called? When you watched the video and read each other's stories, did it change your class more?

    1. Hi Agnes,
The video was called 'Kindness'. We really like showing kindness at school and at home. One of our school values is whanaungatanga which means that we are building kind relationships with other people. We also have rangatiratanga, kaitiakitanga and manaakitanga.
      What are your school values?
