Kotuku Scientist. Still waiting for the rest of Kotuku to demonstrate their inner scientist

Wow what a weekend.

ANZAC day with so many cool artworks from all of Kaniere school and especially Kotuku class.

I am receiving so many fabulous videos from my class, that I am finding it hard to keep up with them all.

I am so proud of you all Kotuku, you are all putting in 100% to your online learning. I love seeing you all each day, it is not the same as seeing you all in person, but it is lovely seeing you on 'hangouts' with your bright shining faces.

I love the way that you are all becoming independent learners at your age.

Week 2

Hello everyone Welcome to Week 2 of our online learning/teaching. I am looking at all of my learning journal slides and it is difficult to decide what to place onto our blog. SO I am going to put everything up that I have received from my wonderful class of Kotuku learners. I am, each day, amazed as to what my students are learning. The best part of this 'lockdown' is that my class has become so fabulous, at the age of 6, know how to use the computer. With the 2020 digital rollout of Technology I know now where to take my students, and that is so exciting. It has been such an exciting 7 days with online learning. I am not one to put youtube videos up or any other material that is not related to my students learning. My posts will be photos or videos of my students in real time, the time of their life, during lockdown Before I post their work. I would like to thank ALL parents out there who are there 24/7 with their children. We, as teachers all admire you. Watch this space for my classes work.

Morning everyone

It was so lovely to see everyone in Kotuku yesterday. Online teaching and learning went really well.
I am going to add a bit of fun to the lessons next week by having a Kotuku bake off, making a nature collage, just to keep Kotuku engaged.

Looking forward to receiving artwork  soon, so that I can put it on our blog site.

Well done Kotuku, keep up the great work and I will see you all today.

Kia ora everyone

I hope that everyone is well out there during this time.

I have just finished a staff meeting that was really informative and nice to know that we are doing the right thing with this online learning.

I have, as a teacher, really enjoyed the google hangouts with my class. It is going to be interesting to see how the next few weeks go with teaching online will go. BUT having said that, it is also an exciting time as an educationalist and to see just where we can take out teaching skills and how we can adapt to the times.

Here on the Coast, we have had glorious weather hoping that it will continue.

Signing off now, stay well and stay safe everyone
